“I had the pleasure of working with Kathryn Diederich during the Spring Semester of 2013 at the University of Wisconsin – Stout where I taught as adjunct staff in the Apparel, Communications, and Technologies Department. As my teaching assistant, Katy held a number of responsibilities in assisting with my Introduction to Textiles and Advanced Pattern Development courses. Katy would regularly identify and organize textile samples, review labs, evaluate original patterns, appraise portfolio pages, and assist with general organization. She consistently approached her responsibilities energetically with excellent focus and attention to detail.

Katy also brought a friendly and approachable demeanor to all of her work. We had many enjoyable conversations throughout the semester about the development of her senior collection. Throughout her final semester at Stout, I witnessed first-hand how Katy is ably to balance many responsibilities while maintaining a friendly attitude. She listens well but speaks with confidence.
